20,000 euros for the promotion of agricultural activity and the maintenance of the Sant Antoni countryside

The mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Marcos Serra, accompanied by the councillor for the Primary Sector, Miguel Ángel Costa, and the president of the Sant Antoni Agricultural Cooperative, Toni Tur, together with the manager Juan Antonio Prats, this morning signed the collaboration agreement for the year 2024.

Through this agreement, the Consistory provides 20,000 euros for the promotion of agricultural activity, the maintenance of the countryside and the environment, aid to farmers, the contribution to the general productive fabric, as well as to maintain direct collaboration in various training, cultural and festive activities in the municipality.

The Agricultural Cooperative, founded in 1951, produces a positive social impact on the municipality as it is the only entity that provides this type of service in Sant Antoni, favouring the subsistence of the countryside, marketing, manufacturing and distribution of the products of our land.
